Do you use a heart rate monitor?

Options
I'm thinking of getting a heart rate monitor for the HIIT class that I've been doing for the past month. Anyone using a heart rate monitor? Which one? Would you recommend it?

Polar FT4 and FT7 are highly recommended around these parts.
They come with a chest strap and you can input variables so it is more accurate.

It is waterproof up to a certain depth, but I've been told to refrain from pushing any buttons while underwater, tho

I've got the Polar FT4 and I'm very happy with it so far. Easy to use. :)

I agree with this. I have a Polar FS2C and my husband has the FT4 and they are both excellent.

I have a polar F4 and have worn mine in a pool and also worn it when I did a mud run. It got very muddy and it's like a timex. Takes a licking and still keeps on ticking. I just recently had the battery replaced and had it in the pool and it is still waterproof.

Thanks all. Am definitely going to look at getting a Polar FT4 or FT7 based on your comments.
