Good morning! I am 2 weeks into MFP and loving it! I have been working out with a friend every morning during the work week and we have been lifting weights every day. The first week I dropped 5.2 lbs, but now I have gained 3 lbs. I have 75 lbs total to lose and am very discouraged by this as I have been eating right and exercising. Somone told us that we should be lifting weights every other day and that lifting every day could be causing the issue b/c we aren't giving our muscles any down time. Unfortunately, I have a heart condition that makes it extremely difficult to do a lot of cardio...I can do about 15 minutes tops (which I do that much every day)! Anyone have advice for a new person just getting started in the gym?
