Has anyone tried Euflexxa or HA fluid replacement therapy?

Long story short.

Blew my knee out playing soccer in high school.

Had surgery.

That along with weight, family history, and gender = early-onset osteoarthritis. It is mild right now, but it still hurts. Argh. I have no idea how my dad put up with this for YEARS.

Anyway, knee has been especially cracky and painful lately so I went to the doctor this morning. He is thrilled with weight loss and activity, but says that increased activity will naturally aggravate the arthritis so pain is normal. I don't like the pain. He's suggesting (and uses himself) that I get Euflexxa injections into my knee -- it replaced the joint fluid and should give more lubrication and relief from the arthritis. I'm leaning toward doing it, if it will allow me to keep my activity up so that I can lose this weight successfully which should help with the OA in the long run.

Has anyone on here tried it? What do you think?
