I never considered myself obese, but I did not like some pictures of me. I thought maybe it was the way I was sitting or standing. The wife always tried me on some diet program or I would go to the gym. That never lasted long, either got hungry or just embarrassed to be at the gym and not know what to do when I was there. I decided to start "Insanity" and thought I was insane for even trying this or even thinking about trying this. After the first 2 days I wanted to quit, my legs were burning and it hurt to stand, walk or even breath. I could not jump or thought it would be safer if I didn't, so I still did the exercises just did not leave the ground. After 2 weeks I was keeping up and I had spring in my step instead of pain. My wife thought any day now and he will quit and be back on the couch. Didn't happen and she still tells everyone, "every night he goes downstairs and pushes play". After the first month I was hollering at the TV telling them to keep up with me. I lost 30lbs in the first 30 days without dieting.

I finally became a member of Beachbody after a month of doing Insanity and received a coach and this provided some more motivation to keep me going. The coach was good, I can't complain but it was a selected coach and sometimes those people just want your money. I switched Coaches and that was the best thing for me, finally a group I can work with and has the same interest I do and not wanting to make a buck off me. I got to the point I was really losing the weight and on our fan page I was starting to help others go through the same thing I just did and found a passion for helping people that were in denial about themselves and their weight. So I became a Coach and have helped a lot of people meet their goals. I know have about 6 different workout programs and the weight or should I say the fat is coming off. When you get to a certain point you stop losing weight and this is where a lot of people quit. WRONG, that plateau is just muscle building and adding weight to you. Sometimes faster than the fat is coming off, depending on what program you are doing. I weighed myself the other day at 218lbs, started at 272lbs, I have never been this low in 20 years. I would like to get down to an even 200lbs and that will not be easy unless I change my diet. I lost all of that in 6 months while still eating burgers and pizzas, yes I know shame on me. But I have learned from my many years of mistakes. If I am thinking I am dieting or exercising I know I will not stick with it. I did cut sodas out of my diet and went to water w/mio, I know that helped. But come on, eating is living, I just lowered the amount of intake. No more buffets and actually quit eating out. Found some really good recipes that taste really good and great for your digestion and health. I started drinking Shakeology strawberry flavor, this stuff is good. Having a shake every day is every fat mans dream. This tastes just like Jamba Juice, but better and cheaper. It says meal replacement, maybe for some of you smaller people but I need at least a granola bar also.

It is a great feeling when people ask you if you have lost weight and you look at them and say"do I look like I lost a couple of pounds". I plan on running, yes running, in a few 5k runs this summer and maybe a 10k or two. When I started I could not run a block without the neighbors wanting to call 911 on me. Now a 5k in under 30 minutes, I am amazed! If you need a motivational partner, please feel free to message me and together we will meet our goals.
