I got it right away. It's a mental thing. I buy clothes bigger than I need to, knowing they'll be too big. I could buy clothes that fit, but I don't always. Not yet, anyway. I'll get there, eventually. And sometimes, just having my arm exposed is uncomfortable. Or wearing more form fitting clothes. It's not about being sexual. It's just about being exposed.

I am that way with shirts. I am not use to wearing things that are fitting on my body and I feel as if its too small and Im too big and I shouldn't wear it. Plus im in the mind frame that I need really jacked arms to wear some of the shirts that I do. lol

but you learn to stop that type of thinking and remember that before you couldn't even wear something like this

Yes, absolutely... especially with shorts, as you said, but really it's clothes in general.

Also, I *always* grab a size too big when I go to try clothes on, because I still don't believe I am as small as I really am, so then I try on the too-big clothes and have to go back and get a smaller size. Pretty much every time.

My issue is, I don't want to buy new clothes yet simply because it's like, nope this isn't real - you're going to gain it all back.

I hate that it takes the brain so long to catch up.

Oh yeah it took me forever to go shopping and then I still hung on to the old clothes. I finally got rid of them and it felt awesome!

That's cute lol. I have yet to buy any pants because of this. I've been living in fatter pants with a belt / leggings.
  • I struggle with this all the time. I still swim in my clothes and when I wear something fitting I am so uncomfortable. I also look in the mirror and think I look the same.
