HI everyone,
I was just wondering if you have used these dvd and if you liked them, what the workout was like, etc. I am finishing slim in 6 and couldn't be more bored. I got it because a neighbour raved about it. Before I received it, I saw and infomercial and thought I wished I hadn't ordered it, it look so boring and not what I would call fun! It is a challenging work out, but it is too static. I had the impression the would be more resistance band stuff, not just and hour of aerobics. I am struggling to get through week 6, I have it memorized. I know lots of people have used it and loved it, but it just wasn't for me.
I am looking for something more high energy, fun, challenging, and with more weight training.
Thanks for the info!

Turbo Jam is AWESOME! I love it. I've been using it since August & still haven't grown bored of it. There are additional dvds you can buy as you progress with the program as well. If you'd like more information, I'm a beachbody coach! Feel free to send me a PM! Good luck to you!

Turbo Jam is definetly awsome!!. I have a beachbody coach at my hometown gym. She is great!! We also do Hip Hop Hustle which is from beachbody as well. If you like to dance you will love both Turbo Jam and Hip Hop Hustle. If you could find a gym near you that teaches the classes it's even more fun!! Good luck and have fun.!!0

I have turbo jam but never used it. I have Chalean extreme and am on day 23 of the 90 day program. I highly recommend CE! I tried poer 90 but got bored with the repetiveness of it and I love CE because it changes so much and I am actually getting stronger too.0

I agree with you about Power 90. My husband & I are working through it right now & I keep telling him, "It just isn't the same once you've done TJ!" It's just so much fun!0 -
I'll add my vote for Turbo Jam--it is FUN, and there are so many extra workouts you can order to keep yourself challenged. I have all the TJ workouts and I still enjoy rotating them in when I can, which is. . . not often, now that I'm doing P90X!
I did Power 90, but only the sculpting workouts--I used Turbo Jam on my cardio days, and I really enjoyed that rotation. If you'd say you're still at a beginner/advanced beginner stage in your fitness, that's a great place to start.
ChaLEAN Extreme is AWESOME, but it's not for the faint of heart! The cardio is more athletic and less dancy/fun than Turbo Jam, but it burns a TON of calories. You'll just be looking for your lungs so you can put them back in at the end of the workout. The strength training is incredible.
One small correction to another comment: Hip Hop Hustle is not a Beachbody workout, but it is from Chalene Johnson, creator of Turbo Jam. It's available in a "fan" format from her company, Powder Blue Productions. Beachbody has a program called Hip Hop ABS by Shaun T, which is a lot of fun, and there are multiple levels depending on how much of a challenge you're looking for.
In short--there are a lot of great options out there if you're looking for something different. Once you find a workout you'll enjoy, you'll find it's EASY to stick to your routine, and you'll look forward to it. Best of luck to you!0 -
Thanks everyone, I appreciate the info. I am really considering both of them. The CE looks pretty heavy in the wrights and I am look for a good weights workout. I would say I am out of the beginner stage, but no where near expert. Thanks so much for the input. Oh, what is a beach body coach?0
