I'm still trying to wrap my head around it and hope some of the seasoned vets could help.

I am 39 yrs old, 5'3" and weigh 182.

I work a desk job but do the shred 5 days a week and walk and do yoga on weekends.

My TDEE is 2409 and BMR is 1559.5

I have myself set at 1600 calories with 40-30-30 for protien, carbs and fat.

Is this correct?

1600 calories would be what you'd need just to stay alive. Since you're sedentary (desk job), you'd need somewhere around 1850 calories to maintain.

I'd then add in the exercises individually as you do them (with a HRM). Since you're pretty much doing some form of exercise every day, you should be able to eat 1850 calories a day and lose about 1 pound a week.

The macros for protein, carbs and fat is a matter of personal preference. Whatever you can see yourself maintaining over the long run.

    Thanks :)

That number is a little scary to me but I will work my way up to it.
