My favorite western of all-time, though it's a miniseries and not a film, is Lonesome Dove. I've seen it so many times, I literally could recite the entire script from memory.

I really liked Open Range. The shootout scene was awesome.

I'm kind of in love with Sam Elliott, so anything he's in (Conagher, for example) works for me.

I will also watch anything with Clint Eastwood in it. The Outlaw Josey Wales is probably my favorite of his.

    1. Dances with Wolves
    2. Unforgiven
    3. Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid
    4. 3:10 to Yuma
    5. The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean

(I thought the movie version of 'Bonanza' was quite graphic as a kid, people pinned to their horses by arrows, but it's all a little hazy now and probably wasn't that good)

    1. The Shootist

    3. The Magnificent Seven
    4. The Good, The Bad and the Ugly
    5. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

No particular order. TV Westerns should be another list. I was a Gunsmoke fan at age 4. LOVED Matt Dillon.

1.) Once Upon a Time in the West - Sergio Leone's last western. Clint was too expensive so the man with no name is played by a super young Charles Bronson. Henry Fonda plays an evil guy (rare for him). If you like Westerns you need to see this one.
2.) Good, Bad and the Ugly.
    3.) Magnificent Seven
    4.) Unforgiven
5.) Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
