    I was telling my kids about calculator watches the other day. My brother and I both got one for Christmas back in the 80's. They thought I was crazy. That is too funny.

    Well, maybe it's stuck in the attic or basement where **** like that belongs.

    But to answer your question, I've seen watches around necks on a necklace, on belt loops and in purses (not being worn).

    They still sell these things brand new. They've changed a little bit since the '80s, but not much. Here's an example from Amazon:

    I saw a watch on a lady's ankle once while I was waiting for court. Wondered why the heck she'd wear it there, then I realized it wasn't a watch. :ohwell:

    I still own one and I am a lady. They come in handy when you need to do a lot of math on your feet.

    I guess it's part of the clientele. They buy $80-105 bags of dog food, they're bound to be a little quirky.
