Help Please!!

1873 calories is what I need to maintain my weight per the weight maintenance calculator.

I need to at least go under that by 500 calories a day to lose 1 lb a week which equals 1373 calories a day.

My BMR is 1434 - MFP says I should not go under that amount!

What can I do to lose 2 lbs a week? How many calories a day can I have? I am so confused about this. Help please!

    Some people on here might say don't go under BMR, but not the goal calculator ?

    It has no specific significance in setting your calorie goal, it's part of the expenditure from which you calculate the deficit.

    You might like to roll along with the 1 pound per week deficit for a month and see how it goes. Setting it higher will depress the calories to a level you may find unsustainable.
