so...I've just recently started running. And someone told me I run "pigeon-toed". What exactly does this mean? Why do I run this way? And how can I stop? Or...should I stop?

Rather confused...

Well, if you're pigeon-toed, it means that your bone structure, either in your legs or ankles, makes your feet point slightly inward, so that your toes are more or less facing each other, and not straight out in front of you. Though you'd more likely notice it when you're standing still, and not running, since when running, your feet are going to pronate outward slightly to disperse impact throughout your foot. I'm not pigeon-toed, but my feet do that naturally, and it's part of a running gait with less impact, so that the force can be naturally dispersed from the outside to the inside of the foot when landing.

Have you noticed that your toes point inward if you're standing still?
