Transitioning from running shoes to minimalist shoes

Just bought a pair of New Balance Minimus trail shoes. Did a 30 minute walk in them, as recommended on some website, to begin my transition. I jogged for maybe 5 minutes in them, and it really felt good! I can feel it in my calves and hamstrings. Was wondering if anyone has some words of wisdom and do any of you go back and forth between traditional running shoes and the "barefoot" shoes?
