scale inconsistent trouble...

I need advice...last recorded weight was 95.4kg, 7 days ago.

I used to always have the scales in (pretty much) the same spot, in my carpeted room (I know carpet isn't ideal but neither is any other room surface in my house). Anyway, I rearranged my room, and my old scale spot is now covered by my bed, so I knew I needed to find a new spot this morning.

So I tried lots of spots all over, looking for a spot that gave consistent results, and 'higher' ones. The results I got were: 91.4, 91.6,92,93.4,90.6,90.1,91.8,92.2,91.2,93.1,92.2,91.2
How much do you think i weigh? Seems VERY unlikely that I have lost 4 kilos in one week! Do you think my old spot was being mean? Or all these new spots are being kind? Or should I really try and find a non-carpet surface to weigh on?

Find a none carpet surface. Also if you have any weights available you can check the accuracy by weight yourself and then holding on to a weight and seeing if it adds the appropriate weight.

I think you need a hard surface. Take it outside if you have to!

Have you got an old piece of wood lying around, or anything flat and solid? I get the same results weighing on a piece of plywood on top of a carpeted surface as I do on an actual flat wooden floor

I think you just need to pick one spot and use that every time. The actual number is always going to be hard to determine but if you are weighing under the same conditions then you get a pretty good idea of the changes that are happening.
Try measuring yourself too - that's a nice indication of changes as well.
