I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas that really work for the tummy weather it be food or an exercise. It seems like That is the area that I can't seem to budge?

I'm still working on mine too! They say YOGA is very good for the waist. I'm starting JM Yoga Meltdown on Sunday. Hope it helps.0

I'm interested too. I'm almost at my goal weight, lift two days a week including ab work, and do cardio 3-4 days a week YET I still have a tummy pooch. UGH!!! I'm sure it is due to my wonderful four children but I dream of a flat stomach. Good luck!0

Yes! Stay away from all bread, drinks lots of water, stay away from fatty food, and do every abs exercise you can think of and then as others. Here, I got a some routines for you that I made up:

Hallelujah sister....me too. Im losing weight, working out and my stomach thinks its getting paid to stick around...it won't budge. So damn frustrating! Everyone says you cannot spot reduce. Just keep burning fat and eventually it will go. A lot of people on these forums will tell you that you have to eat clean and then others will say not so, you just have to get rid of the layer of fat covering your abs. I don't want to have washboard abs (well...it would be nice) I just don't want the pooch to be there. As skinny as I am starting to get, doesn't matter because of the pooch. Just keep working at it, it will go eventually. Myself and some friends are doing Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and that really gets results in the stomach area. Good luck!0

Love the yoga meltdown!! I'm doing that now too. I'm not sure how effective it will be for stomach but it is a great workout!0 -

Seriously??? That's ridiculous. I eat whatever I want, I drink, I have 2 kids under 3, and I didn't have a flat stomach pre-children. My suggestions are make sure you get lots of protein, don't eat a 1200 cal diet (I'm 5'4, 123lbs, and eat 1500), and strength training of some kind. Jillian Michaels 30day shred was an amazing jump start to flattening my stomach.

If your pooch is due to pregnancy, likely the only way to really get rid of it is surgery. It is not fat that sticks out, but muscle, and those muscles need to be surgically repaired to go back to normal. I have had two kids, gained 40lbs with each, and am now 125lbs at 5'5". I am very thin everywhere, but that damn pooch just won't go away. I will have a MMO(mommy makeover) after I am done having kids. I still want one more.0

Thank you ladies and I am going to try some of these methods, hope to have some before and after pics!0

YEAH I'M SERIOUS. And that's your opinion! What works for you, might not work for others. Plus, I wasn't even talking to you!

You look great from the front, but if you are like me, the profile really accentuates the pooch.0 -

Girl you look good for sure, I wasn't trying to offend you. But scientifically speaking your body NEEDS carbs and there is nothing wrong with bread as long as your not celiac and the bread is whole grain. That was actually the main thing I disagreed with. I totally agree with the water and fats thing.0 -
I tend to have my fat in my tummy. The rest of me has lost weight but the pooch is still there. I was thinking that fat is pretty much going to similar to butter or crisco right? My goal weight is somewhere between 118 (Fat2Fit Radio says that's what I should weigh) and 110. That means I still want to lose 5-13 lbs. So now if I picture 5 lbs of butter sitting on my stomach in a pile. Well, you know what, that's about the size of my pooch. maybe even closer to 3 or 4 lbs. So I guess if I take of those those last few pounds then maybe the pooch will go away.
Meanwhile I do loads of core work. 30DS has a lot of that. I also do a lot of yoga and get lots of core work there.0 -

Thank you kindly! You look great as well! I know all about how we need carbs (I do bodybuilding competitions) but biscuits white bread, pasta's, drinking beer, and such shouldn't not be eaten or drunk. If you need carbs, eat wheat pasta, or brown rice; that way you'll still be lean and stomach will go down in a matter of weeks, like it did me.0 -

You ladies look great!!! Different strokes for different folks....no need to be rude to each other. We're all here to help each other. Ok, so stop the fussing and spill the beans *getting pen and paper ready*
I don't have any children yet but I've gained tons of weight due to work related injuries and now that I'm better I've been working out. I keep getting mixed information about my stomach. Some said not to do regular crunches because I'm a apple shape and it won't help, others say it will help but to do more twisting abs exercises to help get my waist in......so any help will be great!!!
MsQt, I've looked at your youtube and I'm going to try those exercises, thank you0 -
Honestly... lose fat and work your core. There is no magic trick to get rid of it.0

Thanks for watching. At first I just lost 20 lbs with moderation eating and cardio, but the belly fat was still stubborn. Then I met up with a personal trainer/bodybuilder and he talked to me about foods to stay away from and others to lean toward as well as strength training techniques to tighten core and sculpt my body. Before I knew it, I was competing in bikini body building competitions and won 4th in the short class. So it's all about what you want! Do you want to just lose weight and have no shape and a stubborn pooch that won't quit or a tight body with nice abs? Your choice! good luck to us all cause I still got lots of work to do to get those killer abs:laugh: I have more video's if you go to my youtube page: http://www.youtube.com/user/MsMsQt?feature=watch
