What is an area of fitness where you have clearly improved?

For me it is speed and balance.

I'm playing in a softball league with my job on Thursday nights and also in an ultimate Frisbee league on Sunday afternoons. I have been working with a personal trainer for about 3 months.

3 months ago I could barely run at all and I was incredibly out of shape. I also have asthma so I didn't run... ever. Since the beginning of the softball season there hasn't been a single at bat that I have not made it to first base and this last game I stole 3 bases and got myself into 2 pickles and won both! I also was a fill in runner for the slower girl on the team.

My coach attempted to throw out a compliment.. it was awful but he tried. He said, "Heather, you are SO much faster than you look!" LOL

Running endurance for me. I had very severe asthma as a kid, so I hated all movement but especially running. I once collapsed after a 200m run I was forced to do at school.

Fast forward ten years, and I started running in February. Again, 200m was my limit (though I stopped before I collapsed!). Two months on, I can run two miles without stopping.

Strength, and while my jogging endurance is still pretty laughable, it's slowly improving.

What are you doing that allows you to run 2 miles? I can only run about 90 seconds before I give in. I do 60 seconds on 60 seconds off intervals... lots of sprints. I've tried slowing way way way down.. and I still can't run more than about 90 seconds without needing to stop. I use Albuterol b4 I workout and during if needed. Any suggestions? I'd love to be able to actually go for a mile...

Very slow pace. I struggled a lot at first. I really believed I'd slowed down as much as I can, but once I got more into it I loaded my MP3 player with really slow music and found I slowed down beyond what I thought I could. If I have fast music, or none at all, I still go too fast.
