Just wondered if anyone had any experiences of whether MFPs estimations of 'if every day was like today, in x weeks you should weigh x' were correct when you keep to the right amount of calories?
If so its a good motivation!!

No, because I don't eat the same amount every day. Do you?0

No, I wish. haha
One of my better days when I first started I was way under my goal and it said I would be 20 lbs lighter in 5 weeks. Yeah, I didn't follow my that day, but even then, I don't think it's completely accurate - it doesn't factor in normal weight fluctuations like water daily - I think it's it's just a really good mathematical algorithm.0 -
I mark it on my calendar - to keep me in check from time to time. On a day I eat well, which I should everyday - its a reminder for me to reach that goal weight.0

It is pretty close when you eat about the same amount of calories each day. It motivates me to stay on track.0

I mark it too...just to compare. If I don't reach then it's not the end of the world. It's just for fun for me.0 -
Don't count on their predications to be accurate...I just stick to my own personal goals0

No, even if I took some sort of average of all of them they are off. This week its been consistently telling me Im going to gain weight. I've lost weight. The odd time its vice versa. They entertain virtual me tho0

It's never been accurate for me; for whatever reason, I lose weight far more rapidly than it predicts. What it usually predicts will take five weeks usually takes me only one or two. But as long as I'm heading in the right direction, the specific numbers really don't matter. I'll hit them all eventually.0
