I have not been putting forth the effort to lose my pound's for long; only about 3 days but those have been great day's! The largest obstacle that I have found so far has been making the time to do my exercising; I did it but today was tough. I am a full time mom, wife and student of which summer trimester started monday so I am very busy.

I will be praying for all of you out there in my shoes to take the time out for yourselves to exercise, eat right and listen to your dreams and thoughts! Life is to short to put ourselves on the back burner because the burner will go out sooner than you know!

Every day will have its challenges-- but yes, we need to make the time for our health-- I have 9 kids, and still manage to run 4-5 days a week-- may take some juggling, but you can do this--

God bless you on your journey-- it's a lot of fun.

I know it's hard! I've got 4 kids and I'm going to school as well (taking summer off). Plus my husband works more than full time. We are amazingly busy. But....we've been fitting it in. Most days, we get up between 5-5:30 to workout in the morning. I feel so much better when I do get the chance to get it in there. It is so important to take care of ourselves. We are the prime examples for our children too.

Maybe you'd have an easier time squeezing in 10 or 20 minutes a couple of times a day. Check out www.exercisetv.tv for some fun, free workouts that you can do in a few minutes in front of the computer. www.sparkpeople.com has some free workouts too.

I comend all of you ladies whom take the time for yourselves even though you have very busy live's, children, job's, and school.

I have been trying to exercise in the mornings this way I know that it gets done before I start to feel drained. Maybe I will not feel so drained if I get to exercising every morning; anyway this is my goal!

HealthyBefore40 - Thankyou for the website address for the free exercise workouts.

staclo - you go girl for going to school, what are you going for? And with 4 kids, do you have a good support system?

Marla64 - God Bless You for being able and get out and do anything with having 9 children. I am proud of you through God we can do all thing's (paraphrased)!

Melroxsox - Thank you for your support and I agree that it just works better if you can make yourself do it in the early morning! Good luck with your journey also!
  • Remember too that household chores and walking burn calories - often a lot more than you realise. You'll be amazed what you do burn just running around after your family, sometimes this is all I need to do in a day to get my exercise in and just top it up with some crunches!

Good luck in your journey anyway x

I always do my exercise in the morning. Then it is done for the day. Anything extra I do later is a bonus.
Do you watch TV or spend a lot of time on your computer? That could be time spent exercising!

I already have a teaching degree, but there aren't jobs around here. When my kids are all in school in a few years, I want to be able to work. So I'm going for Accounting. I'm enjoying it so far. My family is around and they support me. My husband is also supportive; we support each other.

Due to the fact that I made time for exercise yesterday I had lost another pound today, WaHoo:laugh: .

Another great day, beautiful and sunny here in Oregon. What an inspiration it is to see the sun, it just makes me want to get out there and go bike riding, walking or swimming!

Good luck ladies with all of your goals today, have a great day and make time for yourselves!
