How do you calculate calories intake & exercize?

Hi there

I have been trying to get my head around this whole calories consumed versus exercize done and I am totally confused ... Help me please :flowerforyou:


This is just one of the days

Calories consumed was 1414 (first time I actually worked it out I was in shock :embarassed: )

versus

Exercize for the day 3.5mile walk with my 2 girls so I am guessing about 420 calories burned


Based on the formula I think I only used 994 calories for the day

I think it has to be 1200 + per day or am I totally wrong ?

Please help Sad :blushing:

    You're right. Try to plan for a bigger breakfast on the days you work out.

    Invest in a good heart rate monitor. It's WELL worth it, so you don't have to worry about trying to figure out excercise calories...and since it's ON you, and has a profile about you programmed into it, it's very accurate. :happy:

    Don't forget to eat your excercise calories!! You need them so your body doesn't go into "starvation mode"!!
