Remembering where you came from....

I've been noticing lately that I can get very discouraged when I look at my small goals....especially when I hit plateaus...I forget where I came from...
I was in the 360's and injecting myself four times a day with insulin.I was on 6 different blood pressure medication. I couldn't climb up my stairs without loosing my breath and my doctors told me I would probably die by the time I hit 30 years old.
I celebrated my 30th in November, I am now off insulin, I control my sugars by my lifestyle. I've been taing off 3 of my blood pressure medication.... I've lost over a hundred pounds.
So why do I forget this???
I have less then 70 pounds to go.....I need to keep looking foward but realizing it's important to look back sometimes.

Your story shows what an amazing success you are! Maybe it's like 'senioritis' when you get close to being done and just want to BE there already and the working in steps is hard. It is for me with only 25% of my target loss left to go. I did a similar looking back last night and it was quite eye opening. Went through a lot of my facebook pics of me 3 years ago, 2 years ago, last summer - and am amazed at how heavy I was and how little I realized it. I look so much different now!0

soooo true. I get the same.....especially when stuck....I am trying to remind myself just HOW far off being in 16's ...a few 18's...and just a plain ol' size L shirt seemed when I was in a tight 28 and weighed 337....... it seemed impossible when I started... i used to think... * man... if I could JUST get there.... !* ( being my current size of 16's etc..) ...now i am *there* and all I am consumed with it getting to the next goal.... It's such a catch 22 sometimes..! Thanks for the reminder... you inspire me dearies... and are doing simply amazing!!!!0
