I found this article on Livestrong. I wonder how many of these foods are we eating in our diets today? I was surprised that I include a fair amount of them into my diet today with this new way that I am eating. I just thought that it was interesting.

    same with me, of the above list, almost all of them are regular items i buy when i go grocery shopping.

    but Edamame & Flaxseed i've never even heard of before.

    ever since i've started going healthy 2 years ago i ONLY buy fresh produce, which is basically a lot of fruits & veggies...

    Flax seeds are very good for you. High in Omega-3 and fiber. Unless you are baking with them, buy flax seed meal. I sprinkle it on my cereal for extra healthy cheerios, plus it has a yummy nutty taste. You can usually find it in the baking aisle if your store carries Bob's Red Mill products.

    Edamame if not fresh, in the frozen foods veggie aisle.

    Thanks for posting the article! Almonds are my go to snack at work to avoid the candy jar, they keep me full and are delicious.
