They do what?!

My 14yr old son has been accepted into a talent agency through his drama class and had to go to a 'head shot' photo shoot yesterday.

The photographer told him that he's very photogenic and that he looks like a 'young Denzal Washington'.

He came home really excited, but my husband was giving him a hard time, telling him he better start working on his abs, so he can become an underwear model.

Later that evening, my son came and asked me what other exercises he could do with the weights he has to give him a better body.

I was showing him dead lifts, telling him that the work 'the backs of your legs'.

"yeah, cause all the girls will be looking at the backs of my legs".

"the backs of your legs are attached to what?"

"my butt?"

"and girls will be looking at your butt".

"My butt?! What girls look at guys butts?!"

Just then my husband walked past the room and yelled "ALL of them!"

Bwahahaha.

just a warning : be careful with deadlifts, make sure his squat technique is perfect before progressing to deadlifts or he could severly injure himself with the wrong form.

I've been working on dead lifts with my trainer, so I'm sure his form is good. He has what I like to call "the gorilla back" perfected. Plus the weights he has aren't terribly heavy, only up to 20kg. He'll have to start coming to the gym with me. :)

Okay then, but does your son have good squat technique?
Also, be careful with weights training... maybe talk to his GP because doing weights whilst still growing, it is possible to stunt your growth.

and you're missing my point. no I don't unless they are standing right in front of me... but the point is that to deadlift first of all you should squat to get proper technique.

Her post wasn't about technique so your point is off topic. Her post was to give people a giggle because her teenage son was shocked to find out most women enjoy a nice tushy on men. Lighten up!

Don't know what your reference is, but waaaay off base. I'm sure the OP's trainer can help her far better than an random unqualified poster.

That's funny hehe. Yeah I check out a tush usually to think hmm his butt looks all nice and round and pert I wonder what he does to achieve that.

About the other person I think they were just trying to show a bit of concern because weight training if not done correctly at a young age can mess with a persons growth so I guess thats why s/he was just talking about it.

    oh man butt! very important,

Also I don't know why so many are ragging on the poster that should concern, I know a kid that did stunt his growth by weight trainning, and also I say this in all niceness but trainers go to school and are gradded before they can instruct others on their form, just cause your trainer has worked with you doesn't mean its the best idea for you to work with you son, cause yea the spine can be so delicate, take it from some one who broke it =(

I'm sorry but that is soo lame, "I'm a nurse" and so because you are a nurse you know this woman capability to train her son, like as if being a nurse is your pass to teach others on every aspect of the body, LAME!! not even if you were a DOCTOR would you truly know if she was being careful with her son

HAHA! Cute! I didn't pay attention to them when I was a teen. I remember my mom used to comment about football player's butts when she watch them on t.v. and I didn't understand the fascination. I do now though. lol
