My first reportable NSV

First, maybe my subject should have said my first TWO reportable NSV'S!! I say "reportable" because these are the ones that are most important to me.
I joined MFP in January because i needed a health overhaul....on so many levels! The biggest one was my cholesterol. I have other NSV'S but this was the one I was holding my breathe for!!!
October 16, 2011 my cholesterol readings were:
total: 225
HDL: 39
Triglycerides: 185
LDL 149
I was put on simvastatin.
On January 2nd my cholesterol was:
total: 252
HDL: 37
Triglycerides:219
LDL 171
It went up WITH medication, This was when I knew I needed help and I came to MFP. I have significant heart disease in my family, and I was FREAKING OUT!!
So, on April 19th
total: 150
HDL: 40
Triglycerides: 150
LDL 80
My total cholesterol dropped 102 points. AMAZING. Thank you MFP!! Still a little work to do on Triglycerides and HDL but progress not perfection,
My next NSV that is today when i see myself in the mirror I see a healthier person, and I feel good about who I see, TRUST ME, that is a victory. I still have more weight to lose, but I am letting my body decide where it should be and not a number.
Thank you MFP, pretty sure you just supported me in saving my life :-)
