Heart Rate Monitor for Swimming

I have the Polar Ft7 which works great for everything except my water workouts. It does warn that it can lose the signal in heavily chlorinated water and it does lose it all the time, to the point that it's useless in the pool. Does anyone have one that they can recommend that works well in the pool?

Strap it on tighter, or try wearing it on your back (make sure the sensors are still on the right side this is on polars website). I had problems with mine at first. Big thing don't press the buttons in the water, I had to keep sending mine for fixing because the water was getting in when I was resetting it.

You could just use the gauges on MFP for swimming as a rough guide

,my ft 80 worked great in the pool for one session, then every session after that it dropped signal. :grumble:

Thanks both of you. After reading some reviews, the Polar Rcx5 sounds like just what I need. I'll try wearing the sensor in the back until I can save up for the Rcrx5 :)
