So, I've recently been trying to incorporate more RAW foods into my diet. I love cooking, so it's been a lot of fun (ironic isn't it?) b/c you get to really test your creativity. I have to admit that going RAW is VERY expensive, but totally worth it if you think how well it is for your health and how preventative it is in future health problems, so in that sense it evens out. I am trying to buy most of my GREENS organic, and well anything that doesn't have a "peel". Also there are some gadgets that are worth investing in so here's my review....

JUICING VS BLENDING

I have a juicer and just purchased the Ninja kitchen system 1100. In my opinion I prefer the Ninja blender to the juicer. Here's why...
- Easy clean up
- You get ALL the fiber (you loose it juicing in the pulp)
- You can mix in powders (I use Spirulina, Chlorella, Wheatgrass, Echinacea)
- You can add in other things (almond butter, seeds, nuts, ice, etc)
- Cold refreshing drink (with ice)
- You can use the ninja blender for sooooo many other things
- A lot less messy

That said I still like having a juicer. I love "pulpy" juices, so I don't mind that in my drinks, but others might, The pulp is VERY fine, but it IS there. If you're one of those people who don't like PULP better go with the juicer. I find that for me even things like carrots and kale are finely juiced down with minimal pulp consistency and the clean up alone guarantees that I'll use it a lot!!! I got my juicer for ~30 from Amazon and it's a great machine, the Ninja kitchen system 1100 was $120 at BJs, so there is also the price difference, but you have to factor in all the other things the ninja can do.
