Was doing a little reading on natural/herbal suppliments to help with PCOS and came across Dong Quai
Just wondering if anyone has used it for this and if it's helped at all ??
I suffer from PCOS I don't take any medications for it as so far nothing prescribed has really made a differnce at all for me. So I'm opting for changing my diet and general lifestyle and I'm looking into adding some natural therapies to try and help with weight loss and general well being. So if anyone has some good suggetions out there I'd love to hear them.

Hello. I currently have PCOS and is currently taking Dong Quai and Vitex. It works. My period came within the first 3 weeks of taking the two. Meanwhile, my period was MIA for 4 months. I'm getting married next month and we're planning on starting a family soon. Lifestyle change is definitely a must. I've been diagnosed with PCOS since 2002. My Dr. prescribed me Metformin. I stopped taking it after the first couple of weeks because the side effects are horrible. I gave up at one point and decided to just deal with it. But one of my sisters told me about a holistic way of curing PCOS. I changed how & what I eat, I started exercising more often. I noticed the hairitism slowed down (facial shave) and I've lost 10lbs.0

Dong Quai is excellent for your woman parts and is very helpful in making periods more regular.
... however...
It may not be the best thing if you are trying to get pregnant.
The way Dong Quai works is it makes the uterus contract, squeezing whatever is in it out. It was used in the times before birth control as a natural abortion aid. Mostly in the early 1800's though.
If you are trying to get pregnant, keep a very very close eye on it, otherwise, the Dong Quai will cause you to miscarry.0
