I'm in the JD/MSW program at my university, and me, the other two students, the dean, and another professor have met every other Friday for the past two semesters for our colloquium. This past Friday was our last meeting and we all brought food. Two of them were very thoughtful and brought veggies, hummus, and tofu. My one classmate brought donuts from Paula's Donuts. If you live in or have been to Buffalo or WNY, you've heard of them...they're to die for!!

So that evening. I was telling my MIL about the class and food. She told me I must have amazing willpower to have not eaten a donut. When I started this new lifestyle, I was a total carb addict. It was nothing to eat a loaf of Italian bread or pan of brownies. It was really hard in the beginning to stay away from those foods! But on Friday I realized that it would have taken tremendous willpower to get myself to even take a bite of a donut. It wasn't a struggle at all!!!
