Looking for ideas on scallops?

I bought some bay scallops for the first time yesterday. Not only have I never purchased them or cooked them, but I've never eaten them period! I'm not really sure what to expect, but this new lifestyle has me constantly trying new things. I've heard many people say that if scallops aren't cooked right, they can be terrible. Any input would be appreciated :)

I too had the same problem... always ready for something new. I just placed them in a lightly (olive) oiled hot skillet to sear them on each side. They really do not take that long to cook. Oh yeah, place a little sea salt and pepper on it for taste (old bay if you are wanting to try something different). My only problem is what to serve with them. Last time I put them in a skinny tofu alfredo dish. Good luck and just keep experimenting with new foods!!
