Satisfied With Smaller Meals

I have noticed that I am becoming satisfied with smaller meals, but I seem to get hungry again much sooner. Are in between meal snacks like apples and bananas a good idea? Any other good suggestions for healthy snacks I can carry in my truck?

  • I take to work: various fruits, 1 tablespoon peanut butter on 1 slice of whole bread, mixed nuts pre-measured in 1 ounce servings, beef jerky, and an occasional cliff bar

    Eating smaller portions multiple times throughout the day is a great idea!

    I usually eat 5 - 6 small meals a day and spread it out every 2 - 3 hours; it keeps me satisfied and fueled throughout the day. I too think peanut butter is an excellent snack (even just a teaspoon satisfies my sweet tooth).

    I just have about 6 or so small meals a day. Not snacks but meals. Works nicely for me as I'm a grazer by nature.
