C25K + Endomondo App

I just completed Week and I have been tracking my progress with Endomondo. I have it set on "walking" mode - should I keep it that way for the time being? What do other people do?

Also, I can't afford an HRM right now and I imagine the app doesn;t give an accurate calorie burn so I take the kcal amount it provides at the end of my workout and multiply it by .8 - thinking that if its overestimating it, I won't be giving myself too much credit in my daily calorie allowance.

Thoughts?
