Did you ever see yourself as SMALLER than you actually were?

Maybe it was just looking at a recent photograph or perhaps looking directly at a mirror unexpectedly from a bad angle and thought to yourself "%$@*$!!!! I am bigger than I thought"? I just got my drivers license renewed and sent in the mail and the picture I look like I a swollen. Thank goodness that picture was taken a good 40-50 pounds ago but still....IT IS DEPRESSING to realize that I had Chipmunk cheeks.
It is motivation to keep pushing forward....but was curious if anyone else has had that experience

I've always imagined myself at my "ideal" weight, so when I would see a picture of myself, it always came as a shock - "Wait, THAT'S what I look like?"

Now that I am much lighter than I ever was though, the opposite happens - I am so used to being disappointed by pictures of myself, that now when I see one, it's also surprising - but in a good way! :)

    YES!
Often I would pick out clothing sizes or whatnot and forget that I was actually a lot larger.
Then you walk by a full mirror, to the horror!

Yup. I was in denial. I even bought my pants a size smaller and would do the button up with an elastic. Deep down I think I knew I was "chubby" I just didn't want to admit it.
