I have been doing a ton of baking lately and I think I have finally perfected a bread recipe that will help you stay on your path to health!
Primal Protein Bread
* 1 1/2 cups almond flour
* 1/4 cup whey protein
* 1/4 cup flaxseed meal
* 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
* 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
* 5 eggs
* 1/8 cup coconut oil
* 1/4 0% Fat Plain Greek Yogurt
* 1 tablespoon honey
* 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Place dry items in a bowl and mix (almond flour, whey, flax, salt and baking soda).
Melt coconut oil and honey together for 30 seconds in the microwave. Add in greek yogurt, eggs, and vinegar and mix until smooth.
Combine wet and dry mixtures and mix until smooth.
Pour batter into standard size bread loaf pan lined with parchment paper. Bake at 350° F for about 40 minutes (rotate pan at 20 minutes for even cooking). Cool and serve. Store in the fridge.
I cut of the ends and then slice the rest into 16 even slices. If you count the heels as one slice this will yield 17 slices with about 111 calories each. Only 2 net carbs per slice.
You can use this as the base recipe and make other breads using spices or fruit like banana or dried currents for a yummy twist. I made it with the Trader Joes Golden Berry mix and some cinnamon and nutmeg today and it turned out super yummy. Even the sweet version is only 7 net carbs!
Enjoy!!
I will be posting more recipes on my blog soon so friend me if you are interested in clean balanced macro recipes.

I'm just now going full-bore on low carb and bread is something I do miss just in the fact that I like it with my eggs and like a quick sammy every once in a while. Your recipe looks fab! I am going to take it to my nutritionist for her input. Thanks so much and I will be checking out your blog!0
