For anyone who has done or is doing Insanity...did you up your calorie intake at all? Right now my calorie goal is set at 1850 I usually hit this or am close to this everyday and if I workout I will eat most or all of my calories back, but right now I am only burning 300-450 per workout. Starting tomorrow I am assuming that with Insanity I am going to be burning more. Should I still eat all of my exercise calories back? I would love any and all input. Thanks in advance

Continue to eat your calories back so your net will be the same. Just because it's higher intensity doesn't mean it's not the same as burning the same number of calories running, etc. In fact, I would think that with such an intense workout, you would need to eat your calories now more than ever. Good luck with Insanity!0

I think the first month is not that big of a deal but by month 2 you definitely want to up your cal intake as you may not have the energy to finnish. I normally had a deficit of about 400 to 500 cal for month 1 and now I am closer to 100 to 200 cal deficit now.0

I wear a HRM too when I do Insanity. I am currently in the middle of month 2 and some workouts are more intense than others. Just on average I burn anywhere from 400 to 600 calories a workout. I'm 5'5 and 202lbs. It's a great workout, but the lbs to come off slower but teh inches can just fly off of you!0
