What are "It works" wraps and do they work?

While in the mall this weekend a girl that sells It works wraps stopped me to talk about them. I didn't have much time so I told her I would look into them and get back to her. Has anyone used these? What exactly are they..and do they work?

    I used them too. Temporary results - would be great if you need to fit into that special dress. They feel fantastic - all herbie and natural smelling, but the results just weren't there for me. And they aren't cheap.
