Adipex (Phentermine) - Thoughts and Feelings?

I would love to know about how other people feel about the drug Adipex (Phentermine). I had a friend who began taking it for a dual purpose (weight loss and ADD), and had great success on it. After seeing her over a 6 month period, I asked my doctor about it. She fussed and beat around the bush, but eventually gave me a 30 day prescription for it.
Now, realize, I didn't ask this as a whim... I have been dieting for close to 6 years, and have tried every possible diet out there (ok, exaggerating, but still...). I have tried Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Adkins, low-cal, low-fat, vegetarian, low-bad-carb, low-bad-fat/high-good-fat, etc. Best result I got was the low fat, and lost about 15 lbs total. Gained it right back when I stopped the 'below 30 fat grams daily' diet.
So, tried the Adipex, and it has made ALL the difference!!!! For example, I did Weight Watchers Points, and would follow it to the letter, and would lose somewhere around 3-5lbs a month. Per MONTH. Not exactly encouraging, right? With the Adipex, I lost 15lbs in the first month. I could actually get on the scale and SEE that it was working. I could SEE that I was losing weight, and it gave me the encouragement to keep trying. Now, I did "diet" while on it... I was eating around 1100 calories a day and keeping a food diary during that month, and could see where I was going over. I was able to modify my eating as well, but the Adipex was the booster, because it kept me from "grazing". My issue was never eating too much or eating badly, it was always eating later at night out of boredom, etc. The Adipex kept me from wanting to eat just for the sake of eating. It also makes you have a majorly dry mouth, so you drink a ton of water. And only water will do.... Pop or tea just doesn't make that feeling go away.
I have had great success on the Adipex (26lbs gone so far in 2 months!) and I can have it another 30 days. But I feel that it has given me the boost I needed, and the feeling that this is finally working and I can continue eating well and losing weight safely.
But.... I have also heard little nibbles of others who have not had results on it. So to help all those out there who are thinking about it, and for my personal knowledge about what might happen when I am no longer taking it, I wanted to know about others who have taken Adipex and whether it was successful or not, or what happened after you stopped taking it.
To finish this off, I will post my favorite reicpe:
Kale Chips
1c (or more) fresh kale
1 tsp olive oil
seasonings to taste (I prefer chili and cayenne)
Put oven to 350, toss kale (chopped into 'chunks') in olive oil, then add seasoning of choice and toss until coated. Put in 350 oven for 8-10min until edges are turning brown. Best side dish ever, with very few calories and the only fat is from the olive oil, which is the 'good' fat!
