symptoms of a fast metabolism?

Hey people! so basicly I've just completed the 1st "kickstart your metabolism" week of Jillian's 90 day body revoolution plan wich consists of 30 minutes of strength training + 30 minutes of cardio 6 days a week (I am on my 7th REST day today FINALLY!)
BUT
Today, even though it's rest day, I feel extremely uncomfortable. My breathing rate is faster, so is my heart rate, my mouth is always dry, I am constantly thirsty and I am quite honestly turning into pacman (eating wise). I eat 6 meals a day and try to get at least 80g protein/day.
Here's my question: are these the symptoms of a faster metabolic rate? or should i go to a doctor? lmao if this is what it feels like to have a fast metabolism then my body was really slow and lazy.

Honestly, no I don't think these are symptoms of a higher metabolism. Athletes have lower heartrates, not higher. The higher the resting HR, the unhealthier. Increased respiratory rate also does not equal healthiness. Constant thirst is a sign of some serious health problems, not increased metabolism.

The only symptom you've mentioned that might fit is increased hunger. Sorry if this isn't what you want to hear. See a doctor.

you have only been doing it a week??

i wouldn't say you need to see a dr,
i would say your not drinking enough or ur eating alot of sodium?

perhaps your body isn't used working out this much??

when are you measuring your increased breathing?

High metabolism simply mean your body disposes well and quickly of your nutrients - the famous activity level . Genetic and other factors are directly related (age, weight, size) ) but the HR is not a direct factor for measuring your "metabolism speed" not to mention that last can be updated through exercise.

Go to your doctor and get your thyroid checked. I'm hyperthryoid and have the exact same symptoms. Not trying to scare you or nowt. So yeah your metabolism may currently be higher but that can be caused my your thyroid over acting. Either way its better to be safe than sorry and get it checked out by a doctor

sounds like you haven't been properly replenishing your body for the last few days. you just need more food and water.

metabolism is only a theoretical thing
it changes depending on your weight/height/muscle mass

No workout in the world with speed up your metabolism. One way to do that is by gaining large volumes of LBM and I dont think you have done.

Have you been monitoring your sodium level? That would answer your dehydration.

Since it was only a one week kick-start - see how you feel after your rest day. Next week your workouts are reduced so see how you feel then. Make sure you are drinking enough water.

Dry mouth, always thirsty, elevated heart rate sounds like dehydration to me.
