Larger-framed-ladies, what's your goal weight?

Options
This is a thread for all those who have ever looked at a thread entitled 'Such and such a height, what's your goal weight', looked at the answers, and despaired! Ladies with larger-than-average frames, and consequently, higher-than-average goal weights, what are your goals? We may never fit into the BMI-chart, we may always wear a double-figure size, but we can be slim, and healthy with it. Meaning no disrespect at all to those whose frames permit them to achieve low goal weights, for some of us, those goals wouldn't be healthy - it's not commensurate with the way we're built.

I'm between 5'7" and 5'8", SW 245lb, First goal 191lb, Long-term goal 175lb. I have a larger ribcage and shoulders than many men, wear a US10.5/European 42 shoe, and will never be smaller than a UK size 14/US10-12. And that's OK. How about you?

    Hi!
I'm 5'3" , I weigh 165 lbs, and my goal Weight is 132 (60 kilo for me). I already lost 66 pounds, but i want to reach my goal weight.

I still find that my battle will last longer because i find my body fat percentage too high (33%), and I see lots and lots of fat in my body. So it's not all about the number on the scale, you might reach your goal sooner than expected (or even later). Try to get your body fat percentage measured if you're not only concerned about how much you weigh but also about how you look in the mirror :)

I'm smaller than you, but I'll always weigh more than other females my age.I've always had to wear larger sizes than normal for my height. My ribcage is large and my hips are really wide xD
What bums me is thst even when i once was at my normal weigh i would get comments about how fat i was, and I wasn't even fat back then. Of course that means that even if i reach my final goal people will always be saying hurtful things ;( but i accept myself as i am for as long as i'm healthy. And even when i weigh more than i should, i feel my level of fitness has increased so much and i feel so well that i don't care about what anyone says and what the labels on my clothes say :P

    Good luck in your journey!

I'm 6'1 & my ultimate goal weight is 160lbs, as I've never been anywhere near to that weight as an adult I have no idea how I'll look or if I'll be happier heavier than that, but my goal size is a UK12. I have broad shoulders & a large ribcage but my bottom half is smaller in comparison so I'm hoping it will be achievable!

I have a large frame, and am very tall too so will always be much heavier than many of my female (and male!) friends....

My heaviest adult weight: 330lbs/ UK size 28

My lightest adult weight: 196lbs/ UK size 14/16 (US 10/12)

I am 6'1" and have size 8/9 feet (US 10) and a large ribcage/wrists etc....

My 1st Goal weight is 199. My Ultimate Goal weight is about 180-189 (a healthy BMI) I know I look & feel good in the 190's so I won't kill myself trying.

    I am 5'4" I currently weigh 272 (started at 340)

that said... shoe size 12... bra 42DD or DDD depending... I have NEVER had small breasts and they themselves probably weigh 25# or so...

my goal is about 150... which still technically puts me in the "overweight" category... I have had bone density scans and was found to have "disproportionaly dense" bones... coupled with large fram size 150 will probably be good... especially if I can keep the muscle mass that I have started to gain...

with the large frame and dense bones (and large girls) I think that will look good :)

HI!! I am 5'7/5"8 and currently weight 179/180. I am wearing size 14's comfortably. I have hips made for carrying children, thick thighs and a god awful belly, and cankles. My goal is to be 145-150 and a size 10/12. I will be happy and satisfied with being a 12/14 as long as I get myself toned and flatted this belly I have.

I have an almost identical build to you. I'm aiming at 165, which is the top of my healthy BMI. But I'm going to re-evaluate as I go down. I have huge hands, huge feet.

I also know, looking back at my teen photos, that I always felt overweight then, and was always desperately trying to get under 70kg, but that realistically, I wasn't overweight. I suspect always chasing an unreasonable goal weight was actually what set me up to be a fat chick in the first place. I'm really conscious of not wanting to repeat that error.

<--- Is 5'4" and 150lbs in the yellow shirt picture.

I see a lot of women our height who want to be 110 or 120lbs. There's NO WAY I would look good at such a low weight - I would look sickly.

Even though 150lbs is considered "big" for our height, I like how I look at 150lbs.

I am 5'3, I have always been thick, I have large breasts, shoulders and hips. I've always loved my figure, but I want to get rid of my beer belly! I also just have a lot of excess fat that I just don't need! My goal is 130lbs but I don't think I've weighed that little since I was in high school. My boyfriend doesn't want me to lose that much weight because he's attracted to thick women, but I know it's important for me to feel comfortable in my own skin. I'll probably try to lose as much weight as I can, I know that my boobs and butt aren't going anywhere!

I am a large framed 5 ft 10" lady, bigger up top than bottom and with large feet. Currently 183 lbs aiming for 161, but I may adjust that to 168 as I don't look good skinny. Currently wearing a UK 14, although older clothes I am still a 16 (that's vanity sizing for you).

I'm currently 264lbs and 5'7", my ideal weight should be around 167lbs according to those height and weight charts, but I'm quite big framed, so not sure that's realistic. Also, having been big since I was a child, I just can't imagine what I might look like at that weight, I feel that I would be too thin, but is that just because my perspective is skewed from being big for so long?

I'm not really focussing on an ultimate goal as yet, I'm going to take it slowly, setting short term goals and re-evaluating when I get to them. I think I'll know when I've reached the ideal weight for my body when I get there, at which point I will hopefully have the good sense to stop losing and start maintaining!

    I am a 36F, and mine are nowhere near 25lbs. A 36DDD only weighs around 5lbs total.

I'm 5'5", size 9 shoe. SW was 288+, CW is 198. I am getting comfortable now, so I think 160 will be just fine. I have wide hips, so I will never be under a size 12, probably. I'm okay with that!

I'm 5'3" and 105.9 kilos/233pounds. My goal weight is 66kilos/145pounds. The smallest I have been in my adult life is 76kilos/167pounds. I was in an Australian size 14 at that time. Currently I wear an Austrlain size 18/20 depending on the cut and or store. I have wide shoulders and a large frame.

I was happy at 76kilos but the in laws would harp on me about being too big. Oh the the hubby said my face looked gaunt I am not sure if I will go all the way down to 66 or not. Oh I always had big boobs as well. Am in a 18F bra Austrlain sizes. Can't remember what that is in US sizes at the moment.

I'm almost 5'9". I've never been 'small' - I've always been a big-boned athletic type. I've never been able to fit my fingers around my wrist, so that gives you an idea of how big-boned I am. I'm large busted (38DD) and have lots of curves and am an hour-glass shape. I have a small waist, large hips, and strong lean legs.

I'm currently 222 wearing a size 16, but I would like to get down to 180 or into a size 12; but 170 would be my "ideal" weight. My dear Hubby says 180 would be preferable (he's a health specialist, and he also loves my curves), but I would really prefer a little extra weight off. The last time I saw 170, was when when I graduated highschool at 16 and I wore a size 12. I was not thin by any means, but for *me*, looked quite 'willowy' by my standards. Hubby argues that my body is more 'mature' now and has changed since then, and that it is not an overly realistic goal, but I would like to try for it once I reach 180 (if I never reach it, I won't be heart-broken).

That being said, I totally ignore the BMI chart. It is outdated and doesn't take into account the differences in people's body frame, bone structure, etc. Even my doctor and nutritionist refuse to use it any longer.

so this is the second time today i am admitting this.. i am 274 lbs my mini goal is to weigh 250 ( i remember when i dreaded seeing that numbe) now i'm dying to see it again. the weight i would ultimately like to be is around 160-170. the ideal weight is 139 but that's not something i am aiming for. I'll be happing with being 180 again. come to think of it.. i dreaded seeing that number as well! But i'll be estatic if i could ever see it again.. the scale is harsh.. but so is my eating so i need to clean it up. this is acutally my attempt at trying to get accountable. i figure if i start to open up about the reality then maybe my dream woudl become a reality as well. :)

I'm 5' 10", broad shoulders and grow muscles relatively easily.

I have a goal of 20% body fat but I'm not precisely sure where I'll hit that due to inaccuracy of home measurement. When I feel I'm getting close (could be anywhere from 175-190 based on projections from here and limitations of self-measurement, but probably 180) I'll get it professionally measured.

I totally get what you're saying with the large breasts, I'm 5'41/2 and I weigh 174 lbs. My breast size is a 36F (I know it sounds like a porno size). I have a small back, but large breasts. Anyway, My goal is to get to 150 lbs. size 8-10. For me, I've never looked my weight. When I was at my biggest 232, no one believed I was over 200. So for me, to be 150 will be like 130. BMI isn't for everyone!!

I am 5'8" with wide set shoulders (cry cry) but narrow hips. I have dont have the inverted triangle shape, but I am not totally hourglass either. I am somewhere in between, leaning more to the triangle.

    SW: 264 (sz18/20 shoe:9 bra: 40D)
    CW: 174 (sz 9/11 shoe: 8 / 8.5 bra: 36C)
    GW: 160-165 (Not sure yet)

Right now I am focused more on building muscle and not so worried about the numbers on the scale.

I'm 5'7" and my goal is 150. I started at 185 and I'm currently 172. When I weighed 150 a couple of years ago I was happy and comfortable with my self. I have big hips, big shoulders, just a big frame in general. I want to get down to 150 and assess if I want to maintain or lose more. My original goal was 135 but I think if I lose too much it just won't look right with my frame.
