Mangled Ankle

Hi,

Was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on what to do tonight exercise wise?

Some stupid one stood back on me on a night out (I will own up to having loads to drink that night, hence not feeling the pain until the following day) but, she's actually stood on my ankle socket. Over a week later, it's still bruised, bit swollen and all bumpy. I'm noticing when I'm on my feet then I'm getting a dull ache going through it! I've sacked off the gym tonight but was planning on doing some ab work. Is there anything else I could be doing? I don't want to miss out on keeping fit because of my mangled ankle :/

    How about going swimming? That way you can do cardio exercises but without actually putting any weight on your ankle.

    do a kettle bell circuit for your arms? sit on a swiss ball while doing it to help take some weight off your ankle.
