inexpensive running shoe recommendations

Hello all, I've decided to start a c25k. I've been doing at home work outs and just want to mix it up a bit. I need running shoes the only ones I have now are Reebok slimtones which I don't think would be good to run in. I really hate to spend a lot of money for runners and then decide I hate it or the knees hate it so if you have advice on a pair that doesn't break the bank I'd appreciate it. I don't have any problem not wearing a name brand. TIA!
