Biking with a screwed up achilles tendon

So, my achilles tendon is currently enflamed because of doing a bit too much speed/hill work. It doesn't seem too serious, so I'm taking a few days off from running. Right now it only hurts when I push off with my foot, so all signs I can find point to achilles tendonitis. I can't go see a doctor right now because (damn Murphy and his law) my company is in the process of changing insurance companies and don't have the option until July 1st.
Now, since I don't use clipless pedals, I was thinking about going biking. Think this will exacerbate the problem? Or am I basically without cardio for a few days?

I'd take it easy for a few days just to be safe. You could end up making it worse and having to take more time off.0
