At it again, hoping to stick to it this time!

I've been a MFP user for over 2 years, I believe, but always seem to lose motivation after 1-3 months. The most I've lost was 30 pounds and I've gained it ALL back plus 20 extra!! I just realized I've gained 13 pounds in the last year. I'm hoping to lose 10 pounds a month and have so far lost 5, I started a week ago. I have a buddy who is also trying to lose weight who is exercising and dieting with me, but I could use more friends. I just turned 28 and am heavier than I've ever been or ever imagined I could be! I'm in Houston and very social - if you're in the area, let's do something active! Add me and help me reach my FIRST goal by Halloween (at least 50lbs).

Good Luck!!! I have fallen off the wagon many times. Just get back on it, and keep looking forward. You can do it!!!!
  • I know the feeling! I always have the motivation when I first start out and then after a short time period (usually about 2-3 months) I tend to give up and go back to the same thing I was doing before which was eating junk and not exercising. I have been feeling that way for about the last month and haven't been eating very well and not giving my all to my workouts. I have since put back on 8lbs in the last month that took me almost 2 months to take off. Its very depressing when you work so hard to accomplish something only to let yourself destroy it! I know I need to get back on the horse but it gets harder to push yourself to continue when you just don't really care anymore! My goal was 40lbs by July (I wanted to look good for my 30th bday) and I started in January so I figured it was totally do-able but it just wasn't coming off how I expected it to. Tomorrow is a new day and a new month so I'm getting back on the horse and gonna give it a try again and hope for the best! Please feel free to add me and we can help motivate each other especially since we both know what it's like to give up! I wish you the best on your journey!
