Opinions on Polar HRM models

I'm planning on asking for a Polar HRM for Mother's Day, but confused as to which model. I'm looking for something to tell me if I'm at the optimum rate for my chosen workout and to track my calorie burn. Tried sites to do a side by side comparison, but they have not been able to give me that bit of info, so I come to you all for guidance.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Research the Polar FT4, that's the one I have, you may just find it suits what you are after. If measures calories burned, max HR and av HR and will beep if you hit optimum rate.

Thanks, will look further at it. That is the one I had in my hand this morning, but the box didn't say a whole lot.0
