I just took a run and I'm kind of getting sick of eating lunch meat when I'm done
So, what do you eat after working out? Peanut butter? Protein shake? Meat? Eggs?

Greek yogurt, granola and honey. That is typically my go to snack.0 -
Apex fit Oatmeal Raisin Protein bar.
Its freaking delicious! Doesnt taste like a protein bar at all .... it tastes like Chewy!!!!
I love it.0 -
Depends on the workout, but generally a protein shake. If it's a longer workout, a banana then a protein shake.0

I've been making whey protein shakes with some chia seeds and coconut milk. Delish! The chia has protein and thickens up the shake nicely. Then have a salad an hour later - with canned salmon or sardines and greek olives. No dressing!0

Whey protein shake!
this. it is hard for me to eat after I work out as well... and the chocolate ones mixed with water taste like chocolate milk0 -

Chocolate milk.
THIS! And I also make no bake energy bites, I'll eat one or two of those depending on how far I ran.0 -
usually a protein shake, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, or eggs if I'm not in the mood to cook dinner :glasses:0

I'd say have your biggest meal of the day AFTER working out because your body will burn the calories faster so something high in protein but an overall meal. If you want something quick, whey protein isolate. If not try a tuna sandwich (using the whole can of tuna of course..)0

A glass or two of chocolate milk and maybe a banana. Bananas aren't too high in protein but I like them.0

I usually just avoid the problem by not working out.
Protein drinks are the simplest & easiest route. I like Syntrax Nectar brand, it mixes pretty well in a regular water bottle filled at the water fountain. No fuss. Failing that, I go for beef jerky, hard-boiled eggs, or cheese sticks.0 -
Organic choc. milk0

I always make a protein shake made into a thick milkshake. Such a wonderful reward for my effort and the iciness cools me off :P0

Whey protein post workout, it is the fastest and most easily absorbed, perfect for blunting the elevated cortisol levels.
Don't eat dairy, the casein protein in those items is very slowly absorbed and better used at any other time than post workout.0 -

any and or all the above depending on what my other meals for the day have provided. I consume between 160 and 220 grams of protein a day. I get as much from solid foods as I can, then supplement before bed if Im low.0 -
protein shake :drinker:0

Optimum Platinum Hydrobuilder Protein Chocolate shake with a table spoon of PB mixed in....it's like drinking a Peanut Butter Cup0

Usually a protein shake made with a scoop of whey, 1/2 a banana, 1 cup of milk / almond milk, 1 tbls peanut butter, some spinach, and sometimes 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt. It's fun to add in a small spoonful of pudding mix too sometimes.0

You need to fuel your body with amino acids ( protiens) after work out to rebuild the muscles and eggs are wonderful natural source of the protien. According to the Paleo people , raw eggs have twice as much as the nutrient value than hardboiled eggs.
I heard about the Dried egg powder that can be mixed with fresh fruits smoothie with high amino acid content , but hadn't researched much about it.
Whey 100% protien powder is most common protien source used by many , I have stopped it cos I read somewhere about some unhealthy side effects of its consumption.0 -

That sounds really good, I'm going to have to try!
No suggestions here, as I too am looking for some good post-workout protein-filled snacks! Can't wait to see what everyone has to suggest!0 -
I have a protein shake before my workout and after my work out I eat 3-4 eggs. Usually does the trick0

After a morning workout I have a protein shake. If I workout in the evening on the way home from the office I usually just have dinner when I get home.0
