I've been reading about women lifting heavy weights and I would like moe info on what most of you do? My husband has a weight bench in our bedroom with all the weights and we use it as a clothes holder. Can I just go in there and make my husband lift weights with me or since I'm a women should I not do what men do?

A woman can most certainly do the same routine as a man. The weight is the only difference in most cases. My wife and I are doing the stronglifts5x5 routine, although she modified hers a bit. You start out light and progress slowly to heavy weights.

I do everything a man does.

Do yourself a favor and buy the hotly talked about book on here, The New Rules of Lifting for Women - Lift like a man, look like a goddess" - its such a great program, for beginners to advanced weight lifters.

I've dropped a ton of body fat yet still maintained my petite frame by lifting heavy. I swear by it!
