What's the deal with Applebees??

Okay - on MFP it says there is only 375 calories in Applebees Quesadilla Burger (W/O ranch) - but "google" the burger & find reports saying its got 1400 cal & 4000mg sodium. Is there anywhere I can see what the actual nutrition info is? Applebees doens't have it on their website. This sounded like a good burger for dinner tonight with the hubs - but after "googling" it..I'm not so sure.. HELP! :noway:

So I took a look, the most common answer I got was 520cal. This sounds pretty reasonable, I mean, even a big mac isn't 1400
My guess is that the 1800 is with the fries?0 -
You may feel silly doing it, but you could always call them and ask what the actual amounts are.
Good luck0 -
On the database it could be someone's personalized burger-like w/o mayo or cheese or anything else haha. Have you ever been to Red Robin? They have nutrition facts and I guess they're pretty similar to Applebees. Most of their burgers run about 1000 cals. With fries I wouldn't even want to know....:grumble: Plus those tortillas can have more cals than a bun so watch out for that!0

375 sounds pretty low...I would opt for something else. Thay have a bunch of salads, you could customize one of those for your desired calories...0

I, too, checked their website. Under the Frequently Asked Questions section, it states that they provide Weight Watcher's points on their menu but do not provide nutritional information unless it's an area required by law. That's a shame. I can tell you, I am new to this and am being very strict on myself right now. There is no way I could go to a restaurant that couldn't provide me with the nutritional facts.
Maybe you could opt to make your own! I found a couple of recipes for these at www.recipezaar.com.
Good luck!0 -

So - I'm super proud of myself. I went to Applebees & got the Quesadilla Burger (which was amazing) I ordered it without the mexi-ranch and bacon. Then when it got to the table, I realized it had too much cheese for my calories left, so I took off the top tortilla (and probably 3/4 of the cheese) and ate just the lettuce, burger & a littlebit of cheese on the bottom tortilla - soundsplain and gross but it was UHmazing. I only ate a couple of the chips and spinach artichoke dip. I ordered a salad with fat-free italian instead of fries, but was stuffed by the time it got to the table (our waitress sucked & brought my salad out last). So YAY for me being able to hold back - I even scraped the cheese, bacon & eggs from the salad when I put it in my to-go box!! (which did me no good bc I left it in my car overnight :grumble: lol) . And it paid off, I was down a whole pound this morning on the scales!! :drinker: CHEERS to that!0
