When you measure your waist...you measure straight around the belly button correct?

Thanks!

Depends. Personally I keep track of two measurements. The narrowest part of my waist, and then the actual circumference around my belly button.

I do this as well. Some calculators also tell you where to measure at as well. For one BMR calculator I discovered I was using the wrong measurement.

The "true" waist is where you are the smallest, but a lot of people do measure around the belly button. I track both. Are you asking just for tracking, or to put it somewhere (like a BMI or body fat% calc)?
