I'm almost always under calories , over carbs, over protien, over fibre and under fat! It's so frusterating!!

I'm curious mostly about the effect of carbs. I am always over a little or right at the limit, but none of the carbs I get come from white sources. It's from high fibre cereal (usually fibre one) small portions of whole wheat bread, lots of fruits and veggies (sweet potato, onions and corn seem to be the worst offenders) No white flour at all, no sugary cereal, no fruit juice, no pasta (maybe one serving a week) small amounts of rice 1-2 times a week How the heck does a person stay below the dang carbs!?!?

ETA I wanted to give an example here was my lunch today

I had 1 cup of sweet potato and one cup of onion roasted in a few T of calorie wise catalina dressing and thyme (delish by the way, you must try it :) ) 1/2 cup of cold carrots while I was waiting for the potatos to cook and 100g of yogurt when I was done for "dessert"

That had 76 grams of carbs 76!!! ugh I thought I was doing alright with that one LOL

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. That meal sounded pretty good to me! CARBS ARE GOOD FOR YOU!!! If you eat the right kind, and it sounds like you are! Keep doing what you're doing! Don't stress about it so much! It doesn't help!

The last time I looked carbs were color blind. Whole wheat is better for your health and so is brown rice, but a carb is a carb.

Potatoes, white or orange are high in carbs and starch
Pasta, white or wheat is high in carbs and starch
I don't see too many low carb cereals either,

But.....It doesn't mean that you have to do without, it just means that you have to be a little choosier about what your going to eat for the day.

I basically watch my calories, carbs, and fat intake.

Carbs aren't bad for you. You're getting them from whole sources so you are getting nutrients. You may just want to reevaluate your goals. Try changing the goal calculator to 60% carbs, 20% Fat, and 20% protein. If you are still going over your carbs at that level, you may want to reevaluate what you are eating because that is the maximum percentage that I have seen recommended for carbs and you probably aren't getting enough healthy fats.
