Confession Time

Ok, this may sound odd, but what I'm about to write I really don't feel bad about. I knew this was going to happen today, accepted it, applied some restraint, and then did it and I don't feel bad.
After a hellacious week, today was the last day of work for almost all of our employees. So, one of the other managers and I decided to bust into the petty cash at work and buy pizza and beer for the coworkers whose last day of work was today. So, I had 2 slices of pizza, a few too many beers, and too many Sun Chips when I got home. But, I wrote down everything I ate and now I'm publishing this "confessional" to hold myself accountable in front of my peers. This is the first time I've gone off my plan since April 19. But I truly feel like if I don't reconcile days like this with myself, it will cause me to remain "off the wagon" and I'll really wreck all the progress I've made so far. (Historically when I've gone off my plan, I tend to stay off for days, weeks.....)
So anyway, again, this is just me being accountable to myself and you, finishing out the day, and knowing tomorrow I'll be back on track. I hope you don't mind me bending your ears. And all replies are welcome - good, bad, indifferent, just please don't send me a bill for our little therapy session we've just shared. See ya'll tomorrow!

I'm going to get the most amazing pizza in Kansas City tomorrow nite. I've waited about 60 days for this outing. I deserve it. But.... I'm gonna be reasonable. 3 slices. Whole wheat thin crust. Salad.
Diet soda. Its gonna be so good!0 -
You are awesome Joanie! Put today behind you and get back on track tomorrow. I think it's great that you enjoyed pizza & beer and (my weakness) sunchips with your peers as a send off. It's life. Sometimes we have to have a little splurge to help our spirit. Get back on track tomorrow.
Now I'm craving pizza. LOL :bigsmile:0 -

I absolutely love the atttitude. :flowerforyou: Get back on track or, as one of our peers here said, "make a U-turn".
This is just what I need to do now, cos I have binged a bit during the day and I'd like to forgive myself so that I can move on instead of just being scared and dissapointed. :glasses:0 -

Waldo Pizza. I have a bunch of vegan friends, so we are kinda limited to places where we can all eat out and enjoy good food. Waldo pizza has gluten free bread and a HUGE vareity of toppings. I can get my assortment of dead animal....they can get their spinach and pine nuts. Its all good.0 -
