So since i'm low carbing i've found a need to eat lots of eggs, like today i had two in my breakfast and have planned two more for my omelette this evening.

Can anyone tell me if there are implications to eating at least 2 eggs a day but sometimes more.

Sorry if its a silly questions just i've heard people talk about not eating more than 5 eggs a week and i've wondered why.

Eggs are very nutritious, even more so if you can get them from a local farm where they are not kept strictly in cages and allowed to range (in this case the eggs are rich in omega 3 fatty acids and other nutrients).

The primary concern with eggs is that they can bring your LDL (bad) cholesterol levels up. This can be countered by eating otherwise "good" fats, like salmon, almonds, avocado, along with nuts and whole grains (almonds, quinoa, barley).

Any particular reason you are low carbing?

if you can...try to keep egg yolks to an average of one per day...Eggs are a great lean source of Protein..but stick to egg whites...I eat about 6 egg whites a day during the week....

If you want another way to get egg whites ...add Crystal Farms 100% Egg whites to a smoothie of your choice.
