Weight Loss vs. Weight Gain

So I've been on this site for a while but I never really used it much because, quite frankly, I'm not sure if its what I need.

I am currently not looking to loose weight. I'm looking to either maintain my current weight and tone my muscles up or gain weight in muscle.

I am 6 feet tall and weight 150pounds right now. Which, is ahealthy weight. I'm not underweight and I'm not overweight. I am, however, getting alittle flabby. When I was in high school, I did a lot more activities (isnt that always the story?) than I do now. I was weighing 168 pounds and I was very toned but not muscular. Long story short, I want to get back to that. I dont necessarily need to get back up to that weight but I do think that I need to do some definate toning up to get rid of some of the...jiggle.. that I've aquired, maybe along with a few inches.

I eat well, but I dont excerise much outside of work. I'm on my feet and moving all day at work so right now I'm pretty much just maintaining. So I'm guessing that I need to keep watching what I eat but exercise more.

I'm looking for suggestions.. I'm looking to strengthen my arms but the rest of me, I'm really just going for tone. Is cardio what I should be focusing on? And throw in alittle weight lifting for my arms? I guess I'm looking for a little direction to get me started. :-/

To gain muscle / tone up / look better naked I would focus on weight lifting. I'm doing Strong Lifts 5x5. Either eat at maintenance, or if you really want to gain muscle, eat above it (but most people do this in the winter).

    This!

While most people using this site want to lose weight, there are lots of people maintaining, and also several who are trying to gain. Last year I did a "bulk" for 6 months to gain muscle, eating around 3000 calories a day. Now I'm focused on cutting the fat for summer. Monitoring food & exercise can help in so many ways other than just losing
