Tough Mudder, has anyone participated?

I was thinking of participating in a Tough Mudder event in Las Vegas but I would like some more information on it preferably from people who have participated and completed it. I heard that the "penalty" for not being able to complete an obstacle is 30 burpee's, with 31 different obstacles. So I guess if you really suck you could be getting 930 burpee's? Seems a bit steep to me.
